Speaker Bio
Dr. Xia Chun is a co-founding partner of TSVC and a serial Silicon Valley entrepreneur. He previously founded three tech companies, developing early personalized marketing systems and cloud technologies. Formerly Chief Architect at Sun Microsystems, he was an early contributor to cloud computing infrastructure. His investment focus spans cloud computing, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and smart manufacturing. A founding member and former Chairman of Tsinghua Entrepreneur & Executive Club (TEEC) North America, Dr. Xia has served since 2001 as mentor for Tsinghua’s Siyuan Program, senior mentor at Tsinghua x-lab, and Director of Tsinghua Chuang+ Reverse Innovation Center. He established the TSVC Giving Fund in Silicon Valley. He holds a B.S. in Electronic Engineering and an M.S. in Computer Science from Tsinghua University, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UIUC.
